Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Sales Professional to join our team at Agricultural Appointments. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive sales growth and foster strong relationships with clients in the agricultural sector.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to support the business goals of our client, a major international ag-tech innovator with over 75 years of experience. You will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and play a key part in driving sales initiatives, supporting the dealer network, and promoting growth across various business areas.

Your Responsibilities
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with dealers and customers through regular visits and communication.
  • Provide Support: Offer technical sales support to dealers, ensuring their pipelines remain updated and efficient.
  • Network: Foster industry relationships to boost the business brand and promote growth opportunities.
  • Hit Sales Targets: Achieve sales goals for your assigned territory.
  • Plan & Execute: Develop and implement sales plans for new and existing customers, focusing on driving revenue and profit growth.
  • Know the Market: Understand regional market trends and provide forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Achieve Goals: Meet or exceed revenue and profit targets.
  • Use Tech: Utilize Salesforce, Excel, and company programs effectively to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Spot Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on business opportunities in emerging areas of the business.
About You

We are looking for an individual with experience in agronomy or agriculture who possesses a deep understanding of the agricultural sector. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem solver and team player, committed to achieving team objectives. Key requirements include:

  • Motivated & Persistent: A love for challenges and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Great Communicator: Excellent account management and business development skills.
  • Travel-Ready: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays.
  • Value Seller: Skilled in value-added selling and making sound decisions for customer satisfaction.
  • Education: A formal education in agriculture is desirable but not essential.
