Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Tasmanian team. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve business objectives
- Manage and mentor a team of Account Managers and Customer Service Officers to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed
- Provide direction and oversight for business development activities, including contract negotiation, project tracking, and pricing
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve stock levels and optimize sales performance
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities
- A strong background in sales leadership, preferably within the construction or industrial market
- Experience in managing people and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of the steel industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits. Our company culture is built on collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, making us a great place to grow your career.
