Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Tasmanian team. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Manage and mentor a team of Account Managers and Customer Service Officers to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed
  • Provide direction and oversight for business development activities, including contract negotiation, project tracking, and pricing
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve stock levels and optimize sales performance
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities
Requirements
  • A strong background in sales leadership, preferably within the construction or industrial market
  • Experience in managing people and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of the steel industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
What We Offer
