Ubuntu Pro Sales Engineer Opportunity

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to help global companies adopt the latest Linux and open-source applications. Our team works closely with customers to understand their needs and provides solutions using Ubuntu Pro, OpenStack, Canonical Microcloud, Kubernetes, and associated technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with customers, identifying their challenges, and providing solutions that meet their needs. You will work closely with our product teams to ensure that our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect customer business requirements and advise on Ubuntu and relevant open-source applications.
  • Identify customer challenges with open-source and articulate how Ubuntu Pro can help solve them.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations of Ubuntu Pro to prospective and current clients.
  • Liaise with product teams to provide feedback on requirements to influence roadmap.
  • Work collaboratively with your sales team to reach common targets.
Requirements
  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or alternative chosen path.
  • Confidence to speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation.
  • Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results.
  • Demonstrated personal interest in continuous learning and development.
  • Practical knowledge of Linux, virtualization, containers, and networking.
Compensation and Benefits

$130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
