Job Title: Vice President of Fixed Income Sales

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Fixed Income Sales to join our team in Sydney, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow the Fixed Income and Currencies business in Australia.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, including local Australian corporates and multinational companies with regional Treasury or subsidiary presence in Australia.
  • Originating business opportunities with existing and new clients, providing advisory on risk management and building deal pipelines in collaboration with the Global Markets teams.
  • Prepare pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets, and other marketing materials to support sales initiatives.
  • Drive sales initiatives and maintain awareness of SG's FX & Rates strengths and offerings.
  • Collaborate with other salespersons in the region and globally, as well as other departments and partners.
  • Maintain strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of different corporate clients and industry groups, leveraging market intelligence to provide feedback internally.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global Markets.
  • Proven capabilities in building strong relationships with Australian Corporate clients and understanding key decision drivers.
  • Strong technical knowledge on Fixed Income and Currencies products, particularly IRS/XCCY/FX/FXO/Structured Investment solutions.
  • Good knowledge of dealing platforms for credit FX and FI.
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Power Point and Excel.
Behavioral Competencies:
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships, with demonstrable communication skills.
  • Commercial acumen, strong corporate knowledge, and persistence in addressing clients' needs.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with teams based in different geographical locations.
  • Proven ability to work in an evolving multicultural environment.
