About the Role

  • We are seeking a permeant fulltime GM Strategy and Delivery based in Blackburn, VIC to join our Strategy and Enterprise Projects (SEP) team.

The Purpose of this role is to manage the development and execution of The Salvation Army's strategic plan and the mobilisation and delivery of the portfolio of Enterprise Projects.

The role will develop and maintain an organisation-wide strategic implementation plan aligned with Strategic and Operational objectives, with consideration for dependencies, conflicts and support across departments and divisions.

It will promote a front door to innovation and ensure operational excellence (i.e. capability, value streams, crossfunctional engagement).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • You will be successful in this role if you can:
  • Lead Strategy Definition and Development, and Strategy execution reporting transitions to Governance & Assurance-
  • Ensure Portfolio and Initiative Planning (Including Concept Briefs) aligned to Strategic and Operational Objectives Implement Portfolio Risk, Issue and Dependency Management at the portfolio level and across projects-
  • Lead and develop the business architecture view of the organisation (capabilities, services, value streams, information)-
  • Lead Project Initiation and Enterprise Project Delivery, ensuring projects are defined, planned and delivered for success (outcomes success, delivery to plan, learning success, change embedded success)-
  • Ensure project delivery outcomes meet key performance objectives across multiple projects-
  • Overseeing an internal stakeholder engagement model that supports the Strategy Planning Partners and the desired approach to strategy management, assisting with workforce planning and prioritising our enterprise investments-
  • Ensuring Project Sponsors are supported in their accountabilities for the successful delivery of enterprise projects-
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders; to establish organisational goals and roadmaps, maintain service catalogue entries, capture performance measures and progress, and determine initiatives requiring investment to execute against the planAbout You
  • Key Capabilities:

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Project Management, Finance etc-


Desirable
  • An appropriate recognised certification with the Australian Institute of Project Managers (AIPM) is desirable eg. Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM)-


Desirable
  • TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture Methodology) or equivalent certification is desirable-
  • Significant senior management experience in an Enterprise Business Architecture or Business Strategy role with demonstrated success in the development and management of processes that effectively supports the implementation of projects aligned to strategic initiatives-
  • Proven experience in engaging with and managing the expectations of stakeholder groups at all levels
  • Requirements of the role:
