About the Role

We are seeking a full-time max-term Technical Specialist based in Blackburn to join our Strategy and Enterprise Projects (SEP) team. The primary purpose of the job is to assign change initiatives, develop business analysis deliverables to support the successful delivery of the initiatives. Initiatives can include TSA strategic initiatives, enterprise projects and other defined projects.
Business analysis deliverables could include current/future business state analysis, business case documentation, business systems and functional requirements, development of policies, procedure and standards documents, and options analysis for project decisions.
- Key Responsibilities:

- You will be successful in this role if you can:

- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes
- Gather, interpret, and translate business needs
- Assist in the investigation of solutions and provide detail allowing the scoping and planning of projects.
- Conduct Gap Analysis on systems and functions
- Analyse and consolidate information to develop business cases
- Provide recommendations on potential enhancements
- Assist with the preparation of accurate reports, tenders and other documents
- Identify, manage, and escalate business analysis related risks and issues, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies
- Elicit and document business requirements in a way that is clear and easy to understand for business stakeholders as well as technical people if required.
- Engage with users, customers, and stakeholders. Establish and maintain relationships as well as act on their behalf within a project team.

About You
- Key Capabilities:

- Mandatory
- Bachelors level degree in business, IT or related discipline
- Experience working as a Specialist in a project related and customer interfacing role
- Solid experience in a range of software including Excel (Advanced), Visio and various Project-related tools
- Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Desirable
- Certification in ITIL or proven experience with the change advisory board concept within IT departments
- Certifications or experience with related infrastructure environments and programming language (e.g. Active Directory, Powershell Scripting, Microsoft Platforms like Azure, O365, etc.)
- Certifications or experience in data management and systems (e.g. SQL, SAS, etc.)
- Certifications or experience in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS solutions (e.g. MS O365, AWS, MS Azure, etc.)
- Requirements of the role:
- A national police record check is required-
