At Ambulance Victoria, we are proud to share our commitment to save and improve lives by providing outstanding care for our patients.

It is our promise to every patient, and it sits at the heart of everything we do.

No matter what corporate or support role you play in delivering our critical services to Victorians, you join a team dedicated to bringing to life our vision of 'outstanding emergency health care every time'.

AV is seeking an experienced PMO Lead to enhance the delivery of projects by establishing, implementing, and maintaining a standardised project management system, including relevant processes, policies, and tools.

The role will be the custodian of DTS (Digital & Technology Services) project management and adhere to the ePMO project management methodology.

The position will provide high-level oversight and management to portfolio, program, and project management across DTS and work closely with other department leaders to ensure a standardised project management system is adopted across all sections of DTS for our Delivery and Customer Engagement Department.

Having recently rebranded from ICT to Digital & Technology Services (DTS) and launching our Digital Workplace Strategy, this position is an integral part of the Delivery and Customer Engagement Department.

This full time, permanent position is based in Blackburn North with hybrid working arrangements available.
About the role
Reporting to the Director Delivery & Engagement, the responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide strategic oversight for project management and monitor interdependences across the portfolio, including liaising with the ePMO and other business stakeholders
  • Provide high level support and advice to the DTS Leadership Team in portfolio prioritisation, reporting and tracking
  • Work collaboratively to implement a standardised and integrated project management system
  • Facilitate the prioritisation process of projects, postimplementation reviews and various other projectrelated workshops
About you

To be considered for this position you will possess:

  • Completion of a postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with high level relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training & sound experience (preferably in a PMO, Project / Program Management related field)
  • Significant demonstrated experience in program or portfolio management and a demonstrated history of successfully delivering projects, programs and/or portfolios
  • High level written and oral communication skills including negotiation, presentation (both written and oral) skills and the ability to synthesise and communicate complex data and information
  • Proven ability to work independently with a high level of strategic thinking, business acumen and problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in providing leadership of a small team
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Microsoft Project Online, MS Project scheduling and dashboard reporting such as Power BI or similar
  • Knowledge of either Ambulance emergency services or the health sector
  • Proven ability to monitor customer and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage issues to a positive outcome.
Working at AV

As a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.

We offer salary packaging options, generous personal leave entitlements, accrued days off for full time roles, and other benefits including free on-site parking and hybrid working arrangements.

We believe our people are our greatest resource and the sustainability of our workforce depends on how well we utilise our people's skills and abilities and whether our staffing reflects the diversity of the Victorian community.

If you're ready to play an integral role and deliver results that help, make a real difference, we want to hear from you

Successful applicants will need to have received the mandated COVID-19 vaccinations and be willing to complete pre-employment screening including a Police Check.

This position is graded at AV5 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2021.
