We are seeking a permanent full time PMO Manager reporting into the Deputy EGM IT & Mission Enterprises (Deputy-CIO). This role is an integral part of the Information Technology Services based in Blackburn, Melbourne.


As the Delivery Manager your primary responsibility is to ensure projects are managed in line with strategic and operational outcomes and project end-to-end processes are aligned with best practice program and project management techniques.


You will:

  • Manage 3 direct reports
  • Define, manage and deliver project processes in line with scope, budget, schedule, risk and resources.
  • Manage all activities of the project life cycle ensuring outcomes are in line with key deliverables and parameters.
  • Develop and contribute to project plans and briefs as required ensuring key criteria are addressed and project measurable in line with operational outcomes.
  • Coordinate deliverables and plans with other delivery teams ensuring milestones are clearly understood and measures for tracking performance clearly established.
  • Manage project resources and quality of deliverables; provide management information reports as required.
  • Manage cross functional activities throughout all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Effectively manage project related risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place
  • Document and track project variations in accordance with the ITS processes
  • Review program metrics, to analyse and manage changing program conditions or circumstances
What you need to be successful

  • Considerable project and program management experience in delivering crossfunctional projects across the full project lifecycle including developing business cases.
  • Experience driving change and the ability to set direction
  • Proven track record in developing team capability and actively supporting and coaching individuals' professional development
  • Solid experience managing a range of projects across the full project life cycle including developing project plans, briefs, managing stakeholder engagement, developing framework and model, managing budgetary and resourcing constraints
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or Project Management
  • Professional project management qualifications / certification i.e. Waterfall, PRINCE2, Scrum, Agile, Lean Sigma.
  • Experience in end user compute (EUC), ServiceNow, softwareintegration at large organisations
