- About the Role
- We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Assistant Development Manager (ADM) on a permanent full-time position in Blackburn, Melbourne. As an ADM you will be responsible for projects being delivered across Vic and Tas portfolio for Corps, Social Mission and Mission Enterprises.
- Reporting to the Strategy & Development Manager, the purpose of this position is to support the Development and Delivery team through the concept, design, construction and commissioning of building and capital works projects. The role includes the provision of advice and support to key customers and stakeholders on relevant projects, managing the delivery of small-scale projects and assisting in the delivery of larger projects.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Draft building / project briefs to achieve customer’s requirements, commercial constraints and ensure compliance with planning and statutory regulations such as the Building Codes of Australia.-
- Assess and manage project risks and document including mitigating and eliminating risk and ensuring resource allocation and management is in line with Project Plan objectives-
- Manage the preparation of tender packages and construction contracts, including the tender, vetting, negotiation, letting and ongoing oversight of the appointment of all contractors and consultants, to minimise delivery risk to TSA, while ensuring TSA customer outcomes are achieved-
- Collaborate with key stakeholders for the alignment and management of projects within the Development & Delivery Plan in meeting TSA / area needs at both a strategic and operational level- About You
- Key capabilities include:
- A degree qualification in Property (Construction, Engineering, Property) or Property related discipline;-
- Possess a detailed understanding of built form construction methodology and processes-
- Demonstrated experience in delivering key project commercial and financial deliverables on time and within budget-
- Strong ability to negotiate contracts, and familiarity of town planning approvals and other commercial agreements- Why work for us?
