Business Development Manager

Highgate Group is a leading supplier of packaging and processing consumables to meat processors and food manufacturers across Australia, and we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our fast-paced, passionate team.
About the Role:
In this exciting role, you will play a critical role in driving the business forward by developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing clients and ensuring sustainable long-term growth. The BDM will be responsible for generating opportunities, scheduling appointments, and managing their time between being in the office and on the road meeting with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly revenue & gross profit targets.
- Achieve monthly activity metrics that focus on new business opportunities.
- Conduct thorough discovery meetings with prospects.
- Develop, build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Gather & maintain essential customer information within the CRM.
- Demonstrate a driven and pleasantly persistent attitude, whilst upholding company core values and standards.
Requirements
- You are highly motivated by winning.
- 3 years+ experience selling B2B in the same or similar role.
- You have excellent verbal & written communication skills and are an equally great listener.
- Trustworthy and professional, with a passionate, positive, can-do attitude.
- Teamwork and collaboration are part of your DNA.
- You are always empathetic and put yourself in your customer's shoes.
- You build trust and have a great rapport with your peers and customers.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
