The Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team in the Southern region of Melbourne. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based speech pathology services to adults with a disability, aimed at supporting them to achieve their goals and enhance their overall health and wellbeing.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Deliver therapy sessions in clients' homes, educational settings, or community environments, focusing on supporting clients to achieve their goals;">
  • Develop and implement personalized communication skills and mealtime safety programs, promoting overall health and wellbeing;">
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists to ensure comprehensive client care;">
  • Provide indirect client service and family coordination to support client goals;">
  • Work closely with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to establish and achieve treatment objectives.">

About You

">

We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a strong passion for working with adults with a disability. To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • ">
  • A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology or a relevant field;">
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage people with a disability, motivate them, and build their capability;">
  • Experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model;">
  • The ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families;">
  • A willingness to improve your clinical practice, including self-reflection and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas where you may need further development;">
  • Competency in various IT platforms, particularly client management systems;">
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;">
  • An Australian driver's license and own vehicle, with a willingness to travel within the Southern region of Melbourne as required.">
