We are seeking a skilled Clinical Speech Pathologist to join our team at Monash Health, located in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work across various settings, including hospital sites and community health services, providing high-quality speech pathology services to patients across the lifespan.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practice guidelines
Requirements
- Eligibility for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Relevant clinical experience and skills in adult inpatient care, videofluoroscopy, and tracheostomy competencies (desirable)
- A flexible mindset and willingness to work in different areas as required
- A team approach and ability to lead by example
