Global Business Development Director

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with 12+ years of experience in online advertising sales across diverse sectors, preferably within Ad Tech or Mar Tech.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of exceeding revenue expectations and a proven ability to establish long-standing, consultative client relationships with senior levels.
A great communicator with excellent management and leadership skills, the ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, executive teams, and industry groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of representing a portfolio of strategic relationships with The Trade Desk's largest Global brand partners
- Growing and nurturing relationships with senior leaders from various disciplines within these brands
- Positioning themselves as an extension of the client's in-house team, supporting them to leverage the full potential of The Trade Desk platform
- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the brand's business challenges and working collaboratively with the Global Sales and Client Service teams to drive revenue growth and increase stickiness
- Owning relationships with local commercial and contract leads for key Global brand partners
- Communicating the value of our media buying platform by aligning The Trade Desk's media buying philosophy with our clients
- Maintaining a strong understanding of the product roadmap and platform functionality, but also being able to think on a more macro-level and develop messaging that factors in wider industry trends
- Coordinating account discussions with Global counterparts and keeping local Senior Leadership informed
- Working closely with product, marketing, and revenue teams to optimize efforts relating to company-wide goals
- Building meaningful connections with key people in the Advertising industry and representing The Trade Desk at industry events
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in online advertising sales across diverse sectors, ideally within Ad Tech or Mar Tech
- Great communication skills with the ability to speak with senior levels and establish long-standing, consultative client relationships
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, executive teams, and industry groups
- Strong quantitative skills and negotiation ability, able to lead commercial negotiations for large global accounts
- Passion for owning a room, closing deals, and getting wins
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations
- Willingness to travel for business meetings and company offsites
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
