National Account Manager

At J.R. Simplot Company, we're seeking a highly motivated National Account Manager to join our Independents team. Reporting to the National Sales Manager – Independents, you'll be responsible for partnering with Metcash customer partners to drive growth and achieve targets for profitable sales and market share for Simplot brands and products.
About the Role
As the NAM for Independents, you'll manage all retail sales activities, including business & joint category planning with Metcash. You'll also partner with our category, insights & revenue management teams to generate new business opportunities through NPD, activation, and pricing & mechanic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of annual budget metrics through ongoing evaluation of sales performance and making necessary corrections to improve sales profitability
- Ownership of the category / customer P&L
- Ownership of the 0-12 month forecast and ensuring baseline and promotional biases are regularly reviewed and corrected
- Building and managing internal and external relationships to ensure delivery of joint category plans / customer specific business plans
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have experience working as a National Account Manager, preferably with knowledge of the Independent network. Alternatively, we're open to a highly capable National Account Executive or State/Key Account Manager looking for the next step up in their career. You'll demonstrate a strong business and financial acumen, have the ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, and will be a skilled communicator across varying levels.
