RMIT University is seeking an experienced and passionate Indigenous Education Officer to join our team. This fixed-term, full-time position will support the engagement and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide tailored support to Postgraduate and Vocational Education students. You will build strong relationships with communities and students, ensuring their educational and personal needs are met.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and community needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage sensitive matters professionally.
  • Proven ability to access, tailor, and deliver information effectively to diverse clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a capacity to improve administration processes.

Requirements

This role requires a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent expertise in supporting tertiary students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and communities.

What We Offer
