The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Director, Channel Partnerships to lead our partner relationships in Australia, focusing on three core areas: Ecosystem integrations, referral partnerships & community partnerships. As a key member of our SME Commercial organisation, you'll work closely with other leaders to drive growth and cement our reputation amongst partners in the Australian market.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategy and execution: Develop and implement strategies to enhance Airwallex's ecosystem partnerships across key technology and software partners in the Australian ecosystem.
- Growth through referrals: Deliver significant growth in our referral partnership within core sectors of accounting and agency partners.
- Community partnerships: Establish Airwallex's community partnership program with target communities across the start-up ecosystem and specific priority verticals (e.g., e-commerce).
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Commercial, Strategy, and Operations teams to deliver maximum impact through the partnerships program.
- Team leadership: Lead and help build a growing team of Channel Partnership Managers.
- Performance evaluation: Evaluate and report on the Channel Partnerships team's performance, communicating insights and opportunities for improvement.
Your Background
We're looking for a results-driven individual with:
10-15 years of experience in partnership, sales, marketing, or business development, with negotiation and partnership proposal development expertise.6+ years of experience in leading or managing a team.Experience in strategy or working in tech or a fast-growing start-up.Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams and delivering strong business results in previous roles.Existing relationships or a strong network with referral partners in technology, e-commerce, accounting, or start-ups.Salary:** $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and other benefits.
