Luxury Breakfast Sous Chef Opportunity in Sydney's Premier Hotel

We are seeking a highly skilled Breakfast Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, one of Sydney's iconic 5-star hotels.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to contribute to the creation of a unique dining experience that combines luxury and excellence. Our hotel is partnering with House Made Hospitality, a globally inspired hospitality group, to set new standards in the Australian hospitality scene.
As a key member of our kitchen team, you will assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef in managing the kitchen team to maximize food profitability. You will oversee food preparation, production, and implementation of menus designed to deliver innovation and project our hotel as a luxury leader in the Sydney food industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing daily food service and on-site kitchen operations.
- Ensuring that food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet Brand Standard guidelines.
- Coordinating the stewarding team to meet kitchen requirements.
- Assisting the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in developing new menus and concepts.
- Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors to meet food and beverage operational objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Culinary excellence: minimum 4 years' experience as a Sous Chef.
- Creative flair with knowledge of current food trends.
- Food Handler Certificate.
- Strong kitchen managerial skills and operational leadership.
- A drive for customer satisfaction.
- Adept in team building and strong employee relations.
- Trade Certification Level 3. Level 4 preferred, but not essential.
- Alignment with Sofitel and House Made Hospitality values, and commitment to undertaking growth and development within these brands.
- Full Australian working rights.

Estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 AUD per annum, based on location and experience.
