We are seeking a talented Breakfast Sous Chef to join our culinary team and contribute to crafting unparalleled dining experiences that embody French flair and excellence.

Sydney's first international 5-star hotel is undergoing a complete transformation, elevating its facilities and services to meet the highest standards of luxury. As part of this exciting project, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced Head Chef and Executive Chef in managing the kitchen team, maximizing food profitability, and implementing innovative menus that showcase Sofitel's commitment to quality and excellence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in developing new menus and concepts that align with Brand Standard guidelines and exceed customer expectations.
  • Coordinating the stewarding team to ensure seamless kitchen operations and maintain high-quality food presentation.
  • Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors to achieve food and beverage operational objectives and enhance the overall guest experience.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Culinary excellence: minimum 4 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of current food trends and creative flair in menu development.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a fast-paced kitchen environment, prioritizing tasks effectively and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Food Handler Certification and trade certification requirements (Level 3 preferred).
