Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Breakfast Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' experience as a Sous Chef, with a strong background in luxury hotel operations and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily food service and on-site kitchen operations to ensure seamless execution and high-quality presentation.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques, adhering to Brand Standard guidelines.
  • Coordinate the stewarding team to meet kitchen requirements and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to develop new menus and concepts that showcase Sofitel's commitment to innovation and excellence.
  • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors to achieve food and beverage operational objectives.
Requirements
  • Culinary excellence: minimum 4 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Strong knowledge of current food trends and creative flair to drive menu development and innovation.
  • Fully qualified Food Handler Certificate and Trade Certification Level 3 (Level 4 preferred).
  • Proven leadership skills, with a focus on employee relations, team building, and customer satisfaction.
  • Adept at operating in a fast-paced environment, with excellent time management and adaptability skills.
