Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled professional to join our Performance, Reward and Governance team as an Employee Relations Specialist. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in a diverse range of employee relations initiatives, providing expert support and advice to the People & Culture team and the organisation on complex ER issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and pragmatic solutions to complex queries, drawing upon detailed understanding of employment law, operational priorities, and people management
  • Undertake investigations and/or brief external providers as needed to resolve complex ER matters
  • Represent the organisation at tribunals and the Fair Work Commission
  • Support the negotiation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements and provide advice to ensure compliance with and consistent application of these agreements

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will require a solid foundation in employment legislation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a legal environment or in an employee relations specialist role within a medium to large organisation
  • Strong case management experience and demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
  • Exposure to Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organisation
  • Highly developed knowledge of employment legislation and ability to conduct legal research
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or another related field
