About the Role

Job Summary

This is a challenging role that requires an experienced professional to manage workforce-related issues within our organization. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our workplace remains positive and productive.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide support and advice to the People & Culture team on complex ER issues, including performance management, discipline, injury and illness, long-term absence, restructuring, terminations, disputes, complaints, and investigations.
  • Devise pragmatic solutions to complex queries, drawing upon detailed knowledge of employment law, operational priorities, and people management.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and/or brief external providers as needed.
  • Represent the organization at tribunals and the Fair Work Commission.
  • Support the negotiation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements and provide advice to the People & Culture team and Leaders across the organization to ensure compliance with, and consistent application of, Enterprise Agreements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in employee relations, preferably within a medium to large organization.
  • Excellent case management skills and the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organization.
  • Highly developed knowledge of employment legislation and the ability to conduct legal research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or another related field.
