Senior Employee Relations Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Specialist to join our Employee Experience and Wellbeing team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the organisation's employee relations initiatives.
About the RoleAs an Employee Relations Specialist, you will provide support and advice to the People & Culture team and the organisation on complex ER issues, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, workplace injuries and illnesses, long-term absences, restructuring, terminations, disputes, complaints, and investigations.
You will devise practical solutions to complex queries, drawing upon your deep understanding of employment law, operational priorities, and people management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a legal environment or as an employee relations specialist within a medium to large organisation. You should also have exposure to Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organisation.
A strong background in employment legislation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation are essential.
This permanent opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $120,000-$150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need to be an effective communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. You should be able to pick up problems quickly and come up with creative solutions.
The following qualifications and skills would be highly valued:
- Experience in a legal environment or as an employee relations specialist in a medium to large organisation.
- Exposure to Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organisation.
- Highly developed knowledge of employment legislation and ability to conduct legal research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong case management experience and demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or another related field.
