We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our Performance, Reward and Governance team. Based in SEQ, this is a permanent opportunity for a self-motivated professional looking to take on a new and exciting career challenge.

About the role:

  • As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a critical part in a diverse range of employee relations initiatives, providing support and advice to the People & Culture team and the organisation on complex ER issues.
  • You will devise pragmatic solutions to complex queries, drawing upon detailed understanding of employment law, operational priorities and people management.
  • You will undertake investigations and/or brief external providers as needed, representing the organisation at tribunals and the Fair Work Commission.

This role involves supporting the negotiation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements and providing advice to the People & Culture team and Leaders across the organisation to ensure compliance with, and consistent application of, Enterprise Agreements.

About you:

  • Experience in a legal environment or in an employee relations specialist role within a medium to large organisation is highly desirable.
  • You should have strong case management experience and demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Exposure to Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organisation is a plus.
  • You should have highly developed knowledge of employment legislation and ability to conduct legal research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
