**About the position**

Domestic Student Recruitment is responsible for implementing an acquisition and conversion strategy on behalf of the University in order to achieve its strategic goal of recruiting high quality undergraduate applicants. This includes management of, key high schools, events, facilitation of direct admissions and alternative entry schemes and the delivery of undergraduate student recruitment.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Performs high level strategic planning and management to deliver effective undergraduate student recruitment across the University, involving high level liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including framing relevant internal consultation and negotiation strategies.
- Makes significant high-level creative, planning or management contributions.
- Reviews undergraduate student recruitment performance over time and compare it to best practice elsewhere, identifying areas of improvement in structure, practices, policies and technology, reporting where appropriate.
- Identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks within undergraduate student recruitment that may have an impact on the University to enable appropriate and timely action to be administered, reporting where appropriate.
- Develops, motivate and mentor the domestic undergraduate recruitment team to improve their capability to better meet current and future requirements.

**Skills and Experience**:

- A degree, extensive management expertise and supporting experience, or postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Successfully engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the student recruitment undergraduate strategic plan. Key internal stakeholders include representatives from the Schools within the University, Marketing, and Admissions. External stakeholders include Career Practitioners from account High Schools and other stakeholders such as TAFE’s and partner organisations.
- Manage and prioritise undergraduate student recruitment activity within an agile working environment managing expectations and delivering excellence.
- Work with and influence senior management across the division and wider portfolio in various marketing and recruitment segment planning groups, and sprints to ensure the undergraduate recruitment priorities are being considered alongside competing priorities.
- Oversee the successful implementation of La Trobe Open Day, Annual Career Practitioners Conference and annual High School expos.
- Manage the undergraduate student recruitment budget allocating funds and resources accordingly and review regularly
