About the Role

The Assistant Director, International Student Recruitment, is a key leadership position responsible for guiding the development and implementation of strategies and systems to achieve enrolment targets across all regions. This role requires a high-level understanding of international education in Australia and overseas, as well as current challenges facing Australian and foreign institutions.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field and subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. They will also have excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with a range of people within the university and external to the University.

This role reports directly to the Director, Global Student Recruitment at RMIT University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies and systems to achieve enrolment targets across all regions.
  • Provide high-level strategic advice to senior management and senior University stakeholders on all aspects of international student recruitment.
  • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to assist in the development of strategic initiatives to increase RMIT University's international profile and expand its international operations.
  • Undertake efficient and effective management of the human, financial and physical resources of the recruitment team.
