Job Summary

The Assistant Director, Student Recruitment (Australia) role has overall responsibility for leading the Australia Student Recruitment team and driving the development and implementation of recruitment strategies in Australia that ensure enrolment targets are achieved.

Main Responsibilities
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategic initiatives to increase RMIT University's profile and market share.
  • Work across the Experience Portfolio, other parts of the University and with RMIT's school networks, agents in Australia, and partners to ensure recruitment activities are coordinated and aligned with the University's strategy.
  • Manage the human, financial and physical resources of the recruitment team, including a balanced group budget that meets the University's financial management requirements.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification or extensive relevant experience gained through working in a large corporate or consulting environment.
  • Experience in influencing, developing and implementing policy, ensuring adherence to organisation guidelines and/or government legislation.
    • Proven experience in developing and successfully implementing student recruitment strategies.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Highly developed diagnostic, analytical and conceptual skills to identify and drive creative solutions and practical implementation strategies.
    • Strong track record of managing human, financial and other resources, particularly developing, guiding and motivating teams.
    Benefits

RMIT offers a competitive salary of AU$120,000 per annum, plus benefits such as flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities and a dynamic work environment.

This role reports directly to the Director, Global Student Recruitment at RMIT, offering opportunities for career growth and advancement within a leading Australian university.
