As the
**Head of Sales** for the financial planning channel you will be responsible for managing, motivating and driving the sales and account management functions for the financial planning channel. You will lead and drive this channel and partner with marketing, account management, training and support to generate company revenue through new partner sales and upselling and retaining existing partners.
The Head of Sales will play a critical role in ensuring our new and existing partners are engaged and active in implementing and utilising myprosperity in delivering their services to their clients. This requires early engagement and take up across their internal team and the building of strong and deep partner relationships ongoing. There is an expectation this role will take ownership of the partner experience and set the tone for what will be delivered from the myprosperity team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute sales strategies: Create and implement sales strategies using tactical activity to promote myprosperity to financial planners.
- Build connections and provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the sales and account management team meet or exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, understand their pain points, conduct myprosperity partner portal and pro account demos, and offer solutions that solve problems and drive partner engagement and retention.
- Monitor sales activity, targets and churn, and provide regular reporting.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop effective campaigns, sales materials, and lead generation strategies. Work with other internal teams to share partner insights, feedback, and suggestions for enhancements or new features.
- Develop and manage the sales budget, set revenue targets, and ensure sales goals are met or exceeded. Provide input to sales forecasting and implement pipeline management techniques to drive performance.
- Team culture: Contribute positively to the team culture within the sales, account management and support teams and more broadly across my prosperity.
- Bachelor's degree in financial planning, business, finance, or another related field
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the financial planning software, or technology sectors
- Strong understanding of financial planning principles, financial processes, and industry-specific challenges
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive sales strategies and decision-making
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Familiarity with CRM software, sales automation tools, and other sales enablement technologies
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and visit partner organisations.
This role would suit someone who has a background and strong understanding of financial planning practice operations and workflow of how technology can improve the service offering along with a desire to collaborate and connect with key stakeholders both internally and externally to achieve results.
