**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead the bargaining process for a new Enterprise Agreement, driving successful negotiations and implementation.
  • Provide authoritative advice on complex employee relations matters, ensuring alignment with council policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address emerging trends and issues, implementing proactive solutions to enhance employee engagement and productivity.

**About the Role:**

This newly created position will play a critical role in shaping the future of employee relations at Darebin City Council. As a key member of our HR team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our employees and contribute to the success of our organisation.

**Requirements:**

  • 7-10 years' experience in a specialist employee relations role, preferably in a large and complex organisation.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in employment law, human resources management, or a related field, accompanied by substantial relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in negotiation, mediation, and dispute resolution, with the ability to represent the organisation in various tribunals and forums.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • A base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
