Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technical Operations Engineer to join our AWS Infrastructure Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, providing technical expertise to support the design, planning, delivery, and operation of our global infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Management: Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern to ensure the availability and reliability of our data centers.
- Critical Systems Maintenance: Undertake and support management of both routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems such as switch-gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, fire systems, etc.
- Installation and Provisioning: Install new rack capacity and provision power and cooling resources to support business growth.
- Vendor Management: On-site management of contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
- Performance Benchmarking: Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports and documentation of all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Change Management: Generate change management requests and incident management tickets for all facility-related events (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and assist in the resolution of infrastructure engineering and services issues.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with data center IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate day-to-day operations, projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
- Project Implementation: Drive and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability, as well as assist in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new data center facilities.
