Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Executive Leader to join our team at The MITRE Corporation. As Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading our Australian operations and providing strategic direction to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and expansion in Australia.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the Australian team to achieve business objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Australian business, including financial management, human resources, and administrative functions.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Customer Engagement
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in Australia.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with customers and partners.
  • Team Development
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team of professionals to achieve business objectives.
    • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in a senior executive leadership role, preferably in a business development or management position.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or science.
  • Clearance
    • Australian Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance and/or reciprocity with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience
    • Proven track record of leading a P&L of $50M or greater in annual revenue.
    • Experience in business scaling and strategic growth, including organic capability development and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Qualifications
    • Graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in a relevant field, such as national security, engineering, aerospace, space and defense engineering, computer science, physical sciences, or mathematics.
