About the Role
SAS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our Public Sector sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing sales strategies across the full SAS portfolio in Public Sector, including software and cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell SAS solutions to Public Sector customers, highlighting the value proposition of our software and cloud offerings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior decision makers in Public Sector, understanding their business needs and challenges.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, business developments, and SAS' goals and objectives to effectively communicate the value of our solutions.
- Work closely with other sales professionals, customer advisory teams, and executives to identify and pursue high-potential leads.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and contracts, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of our solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer experience, tracking customer satisfaction and feedback to continuously improve our services.
- Travel up to 30% (mostly domestically) to meet with customers and partners, as business requires.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on computer software solutions in Public Sector.
- Ability to initiate and lead sales opportunities, relating technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs.
- Growth mindset, creativity, and a value-based selling approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, or other relevant discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling software solutions to enterprise customers with a focus on Analytics, SaaS, AI/ML, and/or Cloud.
- Experience and expertise selling to senior decision makers, aligning the value proposition of SAS capabilities to meet enterprise needs.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics, developing a sales plan by relating SAS capabilities to enterprise challenges in Public Sector.
