Job Opportunity: Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry

The University of Wollongong's Graduate School of Medicine is seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry to join our team. This is a fixed-term, part-time appointment with a 0.2 FTE, 7 hours per week, 2-year contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical supervision, teaching, assessment, and facilitation in accordance with the Student Placement Agreement within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching at both introductory and intermediate levels, including developing and implementing teaching programs.
  • Engage academic staff to support teaching at Northern Illawarra Hospital Group sites or in community-based settings.

Requirements:

  • A current or anticipated appointment as an Advanced Trainee/consultant psychiatrist with the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (Northern Illawarra Hospitals Group).
  • Strong understanding of equal opportunity principles, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
