Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic psychiatrist to join our team at the University of Wollongong's Graduate School of Medicine.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term, part-time appointment (0.2 FTE, 7 hours per week, 2 years) for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical teaching in the discipline of psychiatry for Doctor of Medicine (MD) students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching at both introductory and intermediate levels
  • Develop and implement programs to support teaching within the rural training hub
  • Engage clinical academic staff to support teaching across the GSM's MD rural training footprint
  • Build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
Requirements
  • Current or anticipated appointment as an Advanced Trainee/consultant psychiatrist in the Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands or one of UOW's MD rural training hubs
  • Strong understanding of equal opportunity principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
What We Offer

The successful candidate will be appointed at Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) commensurate with qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive salary package, including superannuation and clinical loading (if eligible).
