Job Opportunity: Clinical Academic Psychiatrist

The University of Wollongong's Graduate School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Academic Psychiatrist to provide expert clinical teaching in the discipline of psychiatry for Doctor of Medicine (MD) students. This role is essential for meeting course requirements, with teaching conducted in on-campus settings as well as in community, general practice, and acute care environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching at both introductory and intermediate levels
  • Develop and implement programs to support teaching within the rural training hub
  • Engage clinical academic staff to support teaching across the GSM's MD rural training footprint

Requirements:

  • Current or anticipated appointment as an Advanced Trainee/consultant psychiatrist
  • Strong understanding of equal opportunity principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
