Academic Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic psychiatrist to join our team at the University of Wollongong.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term, part-time appointment (0.2 FTE, 7 hours per week, 2 years) at Level B or C, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical supervision, teaching, assessment, and facilitation in accordance with the Student Placement Agreement within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
- Develop and implement teaching programs and engage academic staff to support teaching at Northern Illawarra Hospital Group sites or in community-based settings.
- Deliver high-quality teaching at both introductory and intermediate levels.
- Build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, staff, and community partners.
- Current or anticipated appointment as an Advanced Trainee/consultant psychiatrist with the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
- Strong understanding of equal opportunity principles and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
