Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Psychiatrist to join our team at the University of Wollongong. As a Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry, you will play a key role in teaching and assessing medical students in our ISLHD (Wollongong and Shellharbour) Hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical supervision, teaching, assessment, and facilitation in accordance with the Student Placement Agreement within ISLHD and UOW's External (AMC) Accreditation requirements.
  • Develop and implement teaching programs and engage academic staff to support teaching at Northern Illawarra Hospital Group sites or in community-based settings.
  • Hold a current or anticipated appointment as an Advanced Trainee/consultant psychiatrist with Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
  • Be a qualified medical graduate currently undertaking Advanced training in psychiatry, or eligible for unrestricted registration as a psychiatrist, or medical registration on an advanced psychiatry training pathway in New South Wales.
