We're seeking a driven Business Development Executive to join our team and help drive Afterpay's growth by building relationships with prospective merchants.
About the Role:
- You will be responsible for outbound prospecting via cold calling to generate new opportunities and grow revenue with new Premium merchants through onboarding quality and merchant growth opportunities.
- Your focus will be on managing inbound leads with the goal of driving high conversion rates and selling and onboarding SMBs while supporting OMNI channel expansion.
- You'll follow sales and onboarding processes accurately to maximize yearly sales volumes and identify relevant new business opportunities while highlighting Afterpay's value proposition.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Afterpay, retail industry trends, and our competition, and manage, track, and report on all sales activities and results using Salesforce.
About You:
- You're comfortable with high-volume cold-calling and business development, and you have experience using tools like Salesforce, SalesLoft, or Aircall.
- You're a self-starter who can manage your sales pipeline, interpret data to support merchant conversations, and meet sales metrics and targets.
- You may have previous retail or payments industry experience, but it's not necessary.
- You're someone who likes to keep it real, is brave with decisions, does the right thing for all stakeholders, and shapes the future with excitement.
What We Offer:
- A competitive estimated salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience and performance.
