Employee Relations Consultant

This permanent opportunity is available for a self-motivated professional looking to take on a new and exciting career challenge in Employee Relations.
About the Role- The successful candidate will play a critical part in a diverse range of employee relations initiatives, including performance management, discipline, injury, illness, long-term absence, restructuring, terminations, disputes, complaints, and investigations.
- They will provide support and advice to the People & Culture team and the organisation on complex ER issues, drawing upon detailed understanding of employment law, operational priorities, and people management.
- The role involves devising pragmatic solutions to complex queries, undertaking investigations, representing the organisation at tribunals, and supporting the negotiation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to resolve complex ER issues and develop effective solutions.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Represent the organisation at Fair Work Commission hearings and tribunals, presenting compelling cases and negotiating settlements.
- Demonstrated expertise in employment law, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
- A proven track record of resolving complex ER issues, with a focus on finding practical and cost-effective solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective remedies.
- Highly developed knowledge of enterprise agreements, with experience in negotiation and implementation.
- An attractive salary package, estimated at $95,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
