Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionThis exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Strategic Employee Relations Manager to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our Human Resources function, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance on employee relations matters to senior business leaders across the organisation.
You will have a deep understanding of Australian industrial relations and employment legislation, and be able to provide up-to-date advice and information to support business outcomes. Your expertise will include leading a team of ER professionals, developing strategies and supporting tactical plans, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of ER professionals who provide technical expertise to line leaders in the management of complex performance, conduct and employment related grievances.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee relations outcomes, including the development of local strategies and tactical plans relevant to the performance & conduct of employees.
- Partner with senior leaders to provide evidence-based and strategic advice in alignment with longer term business objectives.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial goals, including negotiating outcomes that meet the needs of all parties.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in HR, IR or Law, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years' experience in employee relations or a related field, preferably in a large organisation with multiple enterprise agreements.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, develop strategies and support tactical plans, and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Expertise in Australian industrial relations and employment legislation, and the ability to provide up-to-date advice and information.
