Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team in Melbourne CBD.

Role Description

This is a client relationship and sales-type role, ideal for a candidate that has had previous experience in account management, inside sales or client service.

  • Proactively maintain and build relationships with existing clients to ensure revenue targets are met by delivering value to our client base.
  • Expand contacts beyond existing sources and develop a tailored value proposition across various areas within an organisation.
  • Proactively promote product awareness while solution selling to cross-sell across your portfolio.
  • Meet the training needs of clients to ensure value is received, both via conversation and training.
  • Deal with incoming queries, issues and day-to-day needs of clients as they arise.
  • Research and understand each client's business to identify new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills.
  • Ability to speak with clients across a variety of industries and backgrounds.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage numerous contacts.
  • Confidence in negotiation, numeracy and diplomacy skills.
  • A team player who can work with colleagues and other departments to achieve results.
  • The ability to also work autonomously.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
