Job Overview

The Strategic HR Business Development Manager at Jemena will be a true HR generalist, embedded into the Corporate Finance & Digital group as a trusted business adviser and people expert. This role is a 14-month maternity leave cover, starting soon, with potential for extension.

Main Responsibilities

  • Foster strong relationships between business units and HR, understanding unique needs of each department and driving performance and employee engagement through aligned strategies.
  • Implement HR projects and initiatives supporting company growth and development, focusing on performance management, employee development, and organisational design.
  • Contribute to strategic people planning, analysing trends and identifying opportunities to shape workforce planning, talent management, and organisational design efforts.
  • Provide expert guidance on HR matters, resolving employee relations issues, interpreting policies, and coaching managers on best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role within a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, with a focus on business partnership and strategic HR initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Australian Employment legislation and experience negotiating and interpreting awards, agreements, and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, influencing and building relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
