Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Religious Educator to join our community at St John Paul II College, commencing Semester One. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with leaders to pursue excellence in teaching and learning, including content knowledge, teaching methodologies, classroom management, assessment, and reporting within their subject area.
The ideal candidate will create safe and inclusive learning environments where all students can flourish. They will also be responsible for developing teaching and learning programs based on the approved CECG Religious Education curricula, using a variety of evidence-based, high-impact teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate active support for CECG policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement Religious Education teaching programs that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Use Moran's Model for Religious Education to inform teaching practices.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that stimulates learning and excellence for all students.
- Plan, prepare, record, and evaluate work to be undertaken by classes.
- Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
- Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registrations.
- A comprehensive understanding of Religious Education and ability to teach according to CECG curricula.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $115,000 per annum, plus superannuation. We offer a positive and collaborative workplace culture, extensive training opportunities, and access to curriculum resources that support evidence-based, high-impact teaching practice.
