About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated teacher to join our team as a Religious Studies educator. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Religious Studies to students at St John Paul II College, a Catholic secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate active support for CECG policies and procedures.">
  • Develop teaching and learning programs based on the approved CECG Religious Education curricula.">
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Moran's Model for Religious Education: Teaching people about Religion and Teaching people how to be Religious in a particular way.">
  • Use a variety of evidence-based, high impact teaching practices.">
  • Create a learning environment that stimulates learning and excellence for all.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ">
  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.">
  • Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.">
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registrations.">
  • Accreditation D or willingness to complete in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Reach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn Policy.">

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is approximately $70,000 to $100,000 per annum, plus superannuation. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including:
