Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a salary ranging from $80,184 to $130,910 plus superannuation. The salary is determined based on years of teaching service. In addition to the competitive salary, the position offers 24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption) and up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave).
About the RoleIn this transformative role, you will have the unique opportunity to teach both English and Religious Education. As an English Teacher, you will inspire students by transforming literature into an immersive experience and uncovering the profound impact of language and storytelling in today's world. As a Religious Education Teacher, you will assist students in understanding and exploring religious beliefs, values, and practices within the Catholic Tradition.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must possess a thorough knowledge of the approved CECG Religious Education curriculum, with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and learning. You should also have highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with colleagues, students, and parents.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching qualification, along with Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) accreditation and Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation. Additionally, applicants must be Catholic, provide a reference from a current Parish Priest, and have completed or be due to complete Accreditation D – Teach Religious Education in a Catholic school in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
