Banyule is looking for a Strategic Development Officer to join the Inclusive Enterprise & Local Jobs team in a temporary capacity until March 2025.

**About the role**

This role will join the Inclusive Enterprise & Local Jobs team during the final year of the Inclusive Local Jobs & Social Enterprise Strategies. This is an exciting time for the team, as Banyule determines the next stage of inclusive employment facilitation and social enterprise support for Council.

The Strategic Development Officer will be responsible for monitoring, evaluation and final review of the Social Enterprise & Inclusive Local Jobs Strategies as they come up for renewal in mid-2025. They will lead the review of these strategies, completing community consultation and drafting the new strategies. They will also be managing Council's First Nations Employment Pathways Lead, who will be developing a new First Nations Traineeship program. The Strategic Development Officer will provide essential program development oversight of this new program.

This is a full time position, flexible and part time arrangements will be considered.

**You will have**:

- Tertiary qualifications or experience in relevant discipline e.g. community development.
- High level planning, analysis, and evaluation skills to inform the best possible outcomes for Council and the community.
- Demonstrated experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence and negotiate desired outcomes.
- Project management skills to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives for best practice outcome achievement.
- Demonstrated experiencing of working with diverse communities.
- Experience in policy and strategy development, including leading community consultation.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, training and staff development.
- Maintain specialist and contemporary knowledge of labour market issues, job creation, social enterprise and associated programs at the Local, State and Commonwealth level.
