The People and Culture Department is part of the Corporate Services Directorate and provides strategic and operational advice to the organisation on people management. We adopt a holistic approach where the team works in partnership across the organisation providing a range of services and advice including organisational culture, diversity and inclusion, organisational well-being, workforce planning, occupational health and safety, risk management, employee relations, recruitment, learning and development and workforce reporting.
**The role:
The position of the Strategic P&C Recruitment Lead involves leading a small team of HR professionals to develop and implement employment strategies that are in alignment with the organisation's objectives. This role entails championing fairness, diversity, and equal opportunities in HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, enhancing talent management procedures, streamlining recruitment processes, and broadening inclusive employment initiatives to cultivate a capable and diverse workforce that reflects the organisation's values and strengthens its immediate and future strategic goals.
**Collaborating across the Council, this role will support hiring managers in talent acquisition by employing a variety of online methods to ensure recruitment, onboarding, and inclusive employment practices adhere to the best industry standards.
**Skills, experience and certificates: -
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field

Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing HR professionals and aligning employment strategies with organisational objectives.

A proven dedication to fostering diversity and equal opportunity in HR processes, creating an inclusive workplace environment

Proficiency in talent management, encompassing succession planning and the optimisation of recruitment processes

Strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable effective collaboration with hiring managers and stakeholders

Proficiency in employing online methods for talent acquisition, keeping up with best recruitment practices, and contributing to strategic planning through talent development

The ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion, coupled with well-developed communication and presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to partner with staff at all levels of the organisation to coach and provide support regarding recruitment policies and practices

Sound knowledge of applicable legislation, human resource policies and procedures, and recruitment protocols.
