The Planning, Building and Laws department comprises of Development Planning, BPi and Municipal Laws and Public Assets. Each team within the department manages an area of approvals, registrations and statutory compliance. The Development Planning team predominantly look after subdivision and planning enforcement for customers that reside in Banyule municipality.

About the Role:


The primary responsibility of this position is to provide timely and reliable customer service and manage the day-to-day administrative functions of the Development Planning team.


Skills, experience and certificates

  • Previous experience in a similar role or administrative field.
  • An understanding of statutory planning.
  • Experience in providing high level of customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare high quality correspondence.
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated skills of a team player as well as being able to work independently
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry related software or the ability to adapt to learn new systems promptly.
  • Selfmotivated, customer focus and ability to solve problems
