The Office of the CEO Directorate is responsible for developing the City of Stirling’s strategic objectives and long-term vision to shape the future of the City.

The Directorate acts as the link between the Council and the community to establish the City’s priorities that are aligned with our commitment to community connectedness and sustainability.

**About the Position**

**Key Responsibilities**

The duties of the Governance Officer will include but are not limited to:

- Contribute to the organisation, compilation and distribution of reports for Executive, Council, committee and electors meetings.
- Ensure the Governance Business Unit procedures are undertaken in accordance with the legislation and Council policies and practices.
- Monitor performance of Governance projects and processes.
- Undertake research, compile reports and prepare correspondence as a result of Council and / or Committee meetings and requests for information from elected members.

- Thorough understanding of confidentiality and political sensitivity
- Ability to liaise with Elected Members and act with respect.

This temporary part-time position is a Level 6 Inside Workforce Agreement positions which attract a salary from $82,652.26 - $87,002.29 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.

- A copy of Australian driving licence
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
- The right to work in Australia
