We are currently recruiting for an experienced full time **Payroll Officer** to temporarily join our HR Services team within the Human Resource Business Unit for a minimum period of four months.

As an experienced customer focused Payroll Officer you will enjoy working within a busy work environment, and have pride in being a great communicator, a relationship builder and team player, and enjoy the responsibility of running your own end to end fortnightly pay (500+ employees).

**YOUR TEAM**

You will:

- Reporting to a Senior Payroll & Improvements Officer you will work as part of a team of experienced, customer focused, and committed HR Services team
- Be well supported by the broader Human Resources team who work in close partnership with Payroll to ensure timely fortnightly processing of pays
- Be part of exciting projects focussing on process improvements as the City prepares to introduce a new timesheet and rostering system integrating with our Ascender Pay payroll system.

**YOUR EXPERIENCE**

You will have:

- Previous experience as a Payroll Officer, preferably running end to end pay, STP, superannuation and leave processing
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant Australian Taxation Office legislation
- A strong focus on customer service along with excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of interpreting relevant awards and legislation
- Strong attention to detail with experience processing high volume payroll data focussing on speed and accuracy

This temporary position attracts a competitive Level 6 salary package ranging $79,093.07 to $83,255.78 per annum plus superannuation.
