The Role
Looking for a full-time Business Development Consultant to join our Business Development, Marketing, and Communications (BDMC) team in Sydney on a 12-month contract. In this role, you will play a crucial part in orchestrating and implementing the firm's business development and marketing strategies, directly impacting our ability to attract, retain, and expand our client base. Responsibilities include pitch and pursuit support, deal management, client account assistance, and various other support tasks in targeted areas.
Responsibilities
Pitch & Pursuit Support
- Preparing proposals based on pitch lead's guidance, including compiling relevant content, creating executive summaries, and developing presentation materials
- Coordinating input from different practice groups, conducting research for strategy development, and following up on proposal outcomes
Deal Management and Capability Statements
- Implementing deal management processes, maintaining deal databases, and updating capability statements
- Ensuring accurate representation of the Firm's competencies and achievements and facilitating access to capability statements
Client Account Management Support
- Assisting Business Development Managers in account management activities, updating CRM systems, and coordinating marketing collateral development
- Utilizing tools and resources to support account management and reporting
General BD and Marketing Support in Prioritized Areas
- Coordinating brand promotion activities, managing sponsorship and event activities, and assisting with league table and directory submissions
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
- Strong background in business development within professional services
- Experience with Transactional Practice Groups, including deal management, pitching, and league tables
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work with senior stakeholders, and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based business development tools
